The past two weeks, we`ve looked at some of the things milk jugs can do. Well, we`re not through yet!

My Tip of The Week: More Milk Jug Magic!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Besides making great tools for teaching players how to pass, milk jugs are wonderful, inexpensive tools to help with strength training, as well.
You have two choices, when it comes to turning your milk jugs into weights. You can either use water, or sand. Water is easy to get. You just send your players into the locker room and have them fill two containers, one for each hand.
However, if you have access to sand, you might want to consider filling your jugs with that, instead of water. If a player drops a jug and it splits open, there`s more of a chance of hurting your gym floor if the jugs are filled with water than with sand.
Whichever way you decide to go, there are many exercise you can do with milk jugs. Use your imagination. Any exercise that can be done with hand weights can be done with milk jugs.
Once you get into the groove, you`ll find lots of ways to use the humble milk jug to make a big difference in your player`s performance. Just let your imagination soar, and you`ll come up with more ways to use the milk jugs than you ever would have imagined.
I use them in our program, I introduce them at clinics, and I`ve seen great improvement among players who use them on a regular basis. And heaven knows, the price is right!
Till next time, fill a milk jug with beach sand, and play on...
