It doesn`t seem to matter which level you`re at, making sure everyone knows about practices, leave times, and all the other things you want everyone to know is a problem.
Often, there`s one person who takes on the role of "official caller," and makes sure they`ve reached everyone involved, in person or by answering machine, whenever there`s news to share. Your club or group can help that person save lots of time, energy and frustration by setting up your own forum on the web.
I`m not talking about setting up a website, which involves knowing html and all that. (Although there are a number of free sites you could set use to set up a site without the language, they still require doing the layout, setting up links, and more.) The easiest way to set up a "meeting place" for your group is at one of the many forum sites on the net.
All you have to do is visit the site, set up the name of your group, and you`re up and running. The whole process takes about 10 minutes. You have the choice of letting only your head person post messages, have only your members post, or being open to anyone and everyone.
Then put the word out, and make it everyone`s responsibility
to visit the site regularly.
